Another widely used websites are jobserach.gov.au, mycareer.com.au and apsjobs.gov.au. These websites have the listings from both government and private sector. It appears that the listing from the private sector is more than the listing from the government sector. The job positions can be searched with variety of keywords. The accounting jobs matches a lot with the top keywords like management accounting and cost accounting. The jobs listing that comes frequently with these searches corresponds to manager accounting, cost accountant, accounting consultant etc. In addition to these jobs, the search also lists the job for tax and accounting consultant, corporate audit officer, SAP accounting manager and accounting admini strator. One of the common requirements that could be seen in almost all the job listings is graduate in accounting. Almost all the organizations want graduate accountant who can handle the work. There are also some jobs where organizations are specifically looking for post-graduate candidates (Pan Seow, 2016). Based on the analysis and job search, it can be said that the candidate who wish to apply for these jobs must be proficient in accounting. The study of the job description would tell that one of the key skills expected from accountants is that they must be able to understand and write the balance sheets. Organizations also want candidates that can do some consulting in the area of finance and accounting. Operation strategy is something that cannot operate in silos or vacuum. Operation strategy must be linked directly to your customer requirements and as well to the horizontal departments within your organization (Zhang, 2013). Operation strategy must be designed by keeping the core competencies or core offering of the organization in mind and leveraging them to achieve customer satisfaction and increased sales. One of the skills that is not much asked by the organizations is fraud prevention. however, I strongly believe that the organizations in private sector as well as the organizations in the government sector should have a strong focus on fraud detection and fraud prevention. for any company, currently, whenever the overseas order is entered in the system, systems does not give the date for order promising and customer asks for the maximum date by which they will receive the order (Pan Shankararaman, 2016). Thus, sales representatives lack data about lead time of the products which is required for giving accurate date. Another less common skills demanded in the job requirements is ethical consideration. I am sure that the organizations want the people with high ethical standards and moral value. They may not have mentioned it explicitly but this is something that professional accountants must have (Ahadiat Martin, 2015). I believe that the accountant candidates are expected to have the basic skills of finance, accounting and auditing. However, in addition to the traditional or basic skills, the candidates must also have the skills of decision making, leadership, etc. There are five key leadership styles of accountant leaders. These are directive, authoritarian, transactional, charismatic and celebrity. The accountant leaders can also show a combination of above leadership styles. The accountant approach of leadership could be more of authority based in nature. There exists a formal relationship between the leaders and followers and in most of the cases, the employees or followers would take the inputs from leaders (Siriwardane Durden, 2014). I can strongly say that the learning outcomes of ACT 6004 aligns well with the skills expected from the accountants and the job requirements that I have searched. This is the reason that this course is important and building block for the candidates who wish to continue their career in the field of cost and management accounting. I practically feel that most of the candidates would have the theoretical knowledge of cost accounting and management accounting. In the contemporary business environment, organizations do not only look for the theoretical skills but also for practical skills. The good thing with ACCT 6004 course is that, this course has helped me to understand both theoretical and practical aspects of cost accounting. In this course, I have learned a lot through the case studies in the course. I think that learning from ACCT 6004 has definitely helped me and other students to get a holistic and 360-degree view of accounting. I am sure that the learning from this course has geared us to get the best job in the market. There are number of candidates that would fight for the job. However, the combination of theoretical knowledge and practical learning is something that would differentiate us from the masses (Tyler, 2016). One of the things that this course should also cover is dedicated focus on leader ship and the type of leadership skills expected from professional accountant.
